Love, they say, is a higher degree of disease.
It leaves you sick and will not cease
Till it gets you down on your knees.
And your heart actually bleeds.
So as nurses, let us try to understand and trace
The pathway of this great menance
How it silently numb our days
And how it weakens us to snail's pace.
Lack of faith, disloyalty and familiarity
Can trigger the jeopardy
Immaturity is another factor
That will predispose you to danger.
It begins with attraction
That leads to increase attention
To the person who has intention
Of gaining his/her appreciation.
Once experiences tachycardia and tachypnea
As one catches a glimpse of the stimuli's aura
While malaise and irritability
Are what they feel when they are not on each other's territory.
And so they go out on dates
Thinking they can know more about their mates
But fooling themselves in the first place
Since to please each other they both wear masks on their faces.
And after a rendezvous or two
They are now officially boo
Always keeping in touch both technologically and physically
As if there's no tomorrow, seriously!
And as days pass by it is initially asymptomatic
Since the heart will try to compensate the nick
To keep the love alive
And to save one's soul from aches
But when the mind gives up from denying
The obvious lies it is seeing
It will then be rationalizing
On why he/she is not anymore calling.
A sudden drop of temperature and vigor
Plus a dehydrated figure
Are the manifestations this twisted love will offer
If the cycle will continue over and over
And if you are asking how we can treat this malady
Let's talk things over on love and it's pharmacology.
